The significance of the NanoIVD robust and easy-to-use portable analyzer and single-use test cartridge is its multiplexed point-of-care genomic (gene), proteomic (protein), and cytologic (cell) analysis capability using a small sample volume (<1 mL). The biosensor utilizes semiconducting silicon nanowire field-effect transistors (SiNW-FET), which are inherently low-power, easy-to-use, and inexpensive. Incorporating multiple binding sites with different capture probes on the same chip gives versatility in sensing.
